OMG - Alone in Laos

Have you ever been alone in Laos? No, neither have I. Before now.. Why in the green bushes am I doing this? I am seriously thinking to my self WHY am I doing this... There are not many tourists here, so you might not find anyone if you go to.. for example Savannakhet. Yes, like where i am now. Okay I found a couple, and I am sharing a room with a girl from England. (And our room is cheap! I pay about.. 2 dollars. Hurra!) But still. I feel a bit lost to be honest. I guess thats a part of the experience. It's Laos, not.. Norway.. But then again, how can I say that? I get lost where ever I go. You know, there's my lack of sense of directions.. and.. more. But what can I say, it's a part of me. I think actually I seek getting lost.. Like when I was small and tried to get lost in the smallest forest in the world nex to our house. Even I couldn't manage to get lost in that one. It's different with Laos.. OMG (Oh my god ;p)

You see the strangest things here. You might see a whole family on ONE motorbike. Or you might see a PIG on a motorbike, or chickens. I think I honestly can say that you might get to see ANYTHING on a motorbike here. I wonder how they do it. Aren't they afraid that their two year old baby might lose the grip? Or that the pig starts to stream and wants to go down? They even transport their double beds on those bikes! But okay.. those bikes could keep me going all night long.

The kids are adorable. Friendly. Couriuos. Smiling and happy. You see animals everywhere. Dogs, chickens, cats, cows (on the roads, in the gardens ect.), goats. And a whole lot of insects.. I dont like that.. Especially since I these last days have seen what damage a bit from a mouscito can cause.. I am talking about the dangue-fever that my friend got. But we also have resaults from regular mouscitos, like red marks in my face.. Less dangerous though.. Stupid insects.

Some hours ago I drank milk milk from a cokonut while I saw the red sun go down behind the Mekong river. Later we tried to find a sauna, which was supposed to be quite nice according to the yellow backpacker-bible (the lonely planet guide book). It was a grey building, and it looked more like a graveyeard than anything else. I think we will have to save the delicious sauna for another time... Unless we want to bath in mudd and dust.. Not good lonely planet, not good.

Tomorrow I will try to find a travel agency that can bring me to the Vang Vieng I have heard soo many great things about. Tubing and all kinds of activities. That we like ;)

Still, think of me please. Especially when I am alone.. I would love a message on facebook.

Love mon amis **
